Python Job: Software Engineer

Position Description:

• Work for a global IT and business consulting firm
• Join a collaborative development team servicing our utilities and government clients
• Help develop and support applications supporting smart cities and digital transformation projects
• Comprehensive training is provided in order for you to become a specialist in operational technology, machine learning, and IoT application platforms
• Flexible work arrangements including hybrid working from our client sites, our Melbourne office, and remotely.
• Full time, Permanent (Salary Range $90,000 - $100,000)

• Help deliver effective and professional digital transformation solutions to our clients
• Develop innovative solutions that bridge IT and operational technology to address the challenges our customer’s face
• Work with our emerging technologies lead to develop machine learning applications
• Provide exceptional customer service in both development and support roles
• Respond to technical incidents and issues
• Perform software product upgrades.

• 4+ years of experience in application development and/or support in the Microsoft .Net technology stack
• Good working knowledge of relational databases
• A proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of an inclusive team
• Full permanent work rights for Australia.

• Java, JavaScript, HTML, C#
• Scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Unix shells
• Server-side programming languages: Postgres SQL
• Cloud administration.
